General informations

The conference will take place from August 28th to 30th, 2024 at the Casino Municipal of Biarritz (1 avenue Edouard VII, 64200 BIARRITZ).

 The entrance will be open:
  • Between 1pm and 1.30pm on Wednesday August 28 for the half-day for beginners and curious about cryptos.
  • Between 1pm and 1.30pm on Thursday, August 29, for the conference starting at 2pm.
  • Between 08am and 08:30am on Friday August 30, with the conference starting at 09am.


You can pick up your wristband on D-Day or from August 28 between 1.30pm and 8pm at the entrance to the Casino de Biarritz.

Yes, we encourage you to collect your bracelet from Wednesday 28 August between 2pm and 8pm at the entrance to the Casino Municipal de Biarritz (1 avenue Edouard VII, 64200 BIARRITZ). Don’t worry if you’re not available, your bracelet will be waiting for you at reception on D-Day.
The conference is open to all (subject to ticket purchase). Under-18s must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
The free public screening of the documentary on Wednesday August 28 requires prior registration, which will be announced shortly.

August 28 – Conference for beginners (from 2pm, free with registration access very soon):

The first day of Surfin’ Bitcoin is specially designed to welcome beginners. This half-day event is ideal for those seeking to understand and discover Bitcoin. The program will include a screening followed by a discussion of the documentary “Crypto: Mon incroyable odyssée”, which presents in a captivating and accessible way this universe often considered complex and elitist. The event continues with a talk by Yorick de Mombynes, magistrate at the Cour des Comptes, who will introduce the basics of Bitcoin. Followed by a round table dedicated to demystifying and clearly distinguishing Bitcoin from other cryptos.
 
August 29 – Conference for professionals (Starting at 2pm):
 
Day two is aimed at industry professionals. This session will dive into the regulatory and financial aspects of Bitcoin. Detailed discussions on the impact of Bitcoin ETFs, emerging regulations and the challenges of digital asset custody will take center stage. The aim of the day is to inform professionals about the latest market trends and the outlook for the next few years.
 
August 30 – Conference for Bitcoiners (Starting at 09am):
 
This third day is designed to explore the technical aspects of Bitcoin (morning) and its economic implications (afternoon) aimed at enthusiasts, industry professionals and developers.
 
Discussions will cover the latest technological innovations, new developments in mining, and the economic and social impacts of Bitcoin. This full day promises to stimulate in-depth reflection and offer enriching perspectives for all participants involved in the Bitcoin field, thanks in particular to talks by Francis Pouliot, CEO of Bull Bitcoin, who will be taking part in Surfin’ Bitcoin for the first time.
For this 5th edition, we are offering a free screening and debate of the Canal + documentary “Cryptomonnaies, mon incroyable odyssée” in the amphitheatre of the Casino Municipal with the main protagonists of the film.
 The idea is to familiarise the general public “no coiners” with Bitcoin and its major distinction in the crypto world and to encourage the expansion of the Bitcoin community.

For payments in Euros, preferential “Super Early Bird” and “Early Bird” rates are available until 03 June and a 10% discount for payments in Bitcoin until D-Day!
For students :
30% discount until D-Day on all tickets except for the VIB Networking Night and Meetup evening. We invite you to discover the different tickets available here(on presentation of your valid student card).

You can get an invoice from the “Get an invoice” link available in the confirmation email. There is also a button at the end of the shopping journey. Invoices are denominated in euros.

The organiser collects certain personal data from participants when they order in order to process their order and issue them with a ticket. Respect for privacy is important, and data will never be transferred or sold to a third party.

Participants authorise the organiser to use, distribute and broadcast their image, name, voice and lyrics for a period of 36 months without further authorisation or payment on their part.
Finally, the brands and logos of sponsors and speakers, as well as speeches and presentations made on stage, may not be reproduced, imitated or published without the specific written authorisation of the organiser or the owner of the brand or logo.

PLANE : An international airport in Biarritz and two airports less than 1h15 from Biarritz ; Pau airport at 1h15 and San Sebastian at 30min. The Networking Night is our opening event, bringing together a limited number of participants, who will have the chance to exchange ideas, network and catch up with the V.I.B. (Very Important Bitcoiners), i.e. the speakers from the Surfin’ Bitcoin conference, the heads of the sponsoring companies, journalists and the StackinSat team.
The event will be held at the KANBAR cider house in the heart of Biarritz. It’s a great opportunity to make new contacts while enjoying a traditional dinner menu featuring Txulet (prime rib), cider and many other local products !
In addition to the conference content, our event also offers plenty of networking opportunities for participants.
Coffee breaks and lunch on Friday are available for participants to discuss and exchange ideas. We have also planned a VIB (Very Important Bitcoiners) opening evening reserved for sponsors and speakers and FULL ACCESS or NETWORKING NIGHT ticket holders, as well as a closing evening open to all participants.
In addition, we will have a SURFIN’BITCOIN mobile application for the conference, which allows participants to connect with each other, schedule face-to-face meetings, share contacts and find people with common interests, as well as the programme, ITW list etc.

The first row is exclusive and reserved for use by the speakers and moderators. The rest of the seats are free seating.
Animals, except service dogs, are prohibited for the duration of the event.
Any use of these devices during the conference is strictly prohibited (except mobile phones), unless we have approved it in writing in advance. If you take photos or videos during the event without our permission, we may ask you at any time to destroy them and not use them. For mobile recordings, please respect other visitors by asking for their permission.
We don’t recommend bringing large bags or backpacks to the event, as all bags will be checked by security before entering the venue and may slow down the entry process. No luggage will be allowed in the cloakroom.
